Okay so I ended up back at the hospital with contractions 3-5 minutes apart for over 5 hours. They hooked me up to a monitor and Lily's heart rate was fine. They monitored me for 2 hours, contractions still were 3-4 minutes apart, and strong. They checked me only to find that I was hardly 1 cm dilated. well, 38 weeks yesterday. I thought we were getting somewhere yesterday too. After a week of losing mucus plug I had two hours of super painful contractions at about 8 minutes apart. Curiosity got the best of me yesterday at my midwife appointment (at 39 weeks 4 days) and I agreed to an internal exam even though I know it means nothing as to when labor can begin.
